Topgunners
Out and about in Warwickshire again. I had spent an hour first on the crows and had 17 whilst waiting for Alan & the boys to arrive. We then went back to the peas we were on yesterday, but the wind was blowing in an entirely different direction to yesterday and no pigeons about at all. We then drove to the flattened Barley we had "clocked" yesterday and there were a few flitting about so Alan and the boys decided to set up there and I drove back to the farm with all the blackies on. The wind was blowing gale force and the birds were hammering past on the grass field so I set up along a hedgerow with the wind behind me; just to the right of the barns, and I ended up with another 85 birds. Total for me 102 blackies and 2 pigeons, 1 magpie. Alan and the boys rang me up and told me they had shot 145 Pigeons. Good day all round, but that bloody wind was severe. Still, you won't shoot OWT if you ain't OUT. Dave K
