Help zeroing and grouping

Hey all,

I have been trying to setup my scope, at about 20 yards I am grouping vertically where I wanted, but horizontally I am always shooting to the left of the target.

I setup the gun on my Workmate, I know not the best thing but it is very stable and allowed me to eliminate shake from the shooting.

On my scope, if I am shooting to the left, do I need to turn the dial to the right or to the left to zero in?

I have never had to zero a rifle before as the shop has always done it for me, but I cant get over to them for a few weeks so I need to do it myself.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks all.

Turn the dial the way that you want the bullet to go, i.e. if you want the bullet to go to the left, turn the dial towards 'L'.

Thanks m8.

I am assuming that the one on the side of the scope is for up and down and the one on the top is for left / right?

Thanks again.

Make sure your scope it turned the right way, if your saying that the top is altering your scope left and right, then turn your scope round so the top is at the side.

The side should alter your scope left and right, and the top should alter your scope up and down.

Check scope is connected properly.

Don't rely on your gunshop to zero your scope for you because the zero will be altered by who shoots the rifle and how they hold it. This is because the cross hairs will be in a slightly different place if your head rests differently on the stock. Zeroing is an important skill to have if you are hunting so you can tweak it after any knocks and still be "bang on" accurate.
