Mrs Sweepy
Well finally gone and done it . Booked mitzy in to be spayed on friday. Must admit having a real bad guilt trip about it But after seeing how much shes suffers after each season it for best for her and sammy. Its just that you dont like to put your dog though it. She has also got to have a Hernia repair at the same time. So she really is going to be a poor old thing for a while. So if any of you . Have any tips for me to make her recovery less stressfull for her please do tell. Having always been bought up with male dogs. This is really all new to me . So any help would be appreciated. Thank you suzy
new to the flock
Try to keep her quiet for 5 to 7 days, as quiet as you can with a springer. Basically no playing with Sammy, no running around off lead, short walks to go out to pee and empty. I always like to keep mine crated for the first week unless out on the lead. Also watch that she does not bother the stitches with licking them. If she does get her into an elizabethan collar immediately. NTTF
