myzeneye
guys, can i have some advice on feild clothing please..... after getting my safe, cert, shotgun, basc and other bits and bobs, im a little skint and have only got a few quid to buy some clothing untill i get some birthday cash etc for some quality gear.... ive looked at the cheaper real tree gear, but obviously, anything with pvc in is a no no. ive looked at ex millitary gear and im not sure which is best for my money..... either dpm goretex jkt and pants OR a decent dpm sas smock...... i have plain green pants and jkt already but im sure sitting round in wet grass etc will bring forward the benefits of the goretex rig.... but it has no pockets, probably makes noise etc... the sas smocks arnt totaly water proof but have plenty of pockets are windproof comfortable and a quality bit of kit i guess..... anyone used either of these, if so, what do you think....?? cheers... drut
I use ex-army dpm (cheap) & find the normal jacket/pants great.I bought a pair of goretex dpm trousers : impressed by quality & well waterproof but too noisy for stalking. Always work fabric to check for rustle before I buy anything waterproof now.
Scarpa
I just use the standard cotton dpm jacket available for £10 - £20. How often do you shoot for long in the rain?
Hodmedod.one
Don't buy the DPM Goretex if you want to stalk anything. It is way too noisy. Deerhunter stuff is good and reasonably priced.

Ice
Same standard soilder 95 kit, tough, windproof, plenty of strong pockets, water proof enough that you dont get soaked through in 30 secs and quiet. :yp: Think i payed about £30 for jacket and trousers from an army and navy store up here.
