harv
I have a pair of slc 10X42 but are looking a bit shoddy, about 10 yrs old now. can anybody give me their opinion on either kahles 10X42 or swaros el 8.5x 42 or 10x50 i.e. is there much difference between the slc and el optically to justify the price and are the kahles on a par with either. thanks harv
deerhunter26
hi mate, when i first bought a pair of swarovski bins i purchased the 8x50 slc when they turned up they were nice and the view through them was even better but the only thing that lets the slc down is the weight so i sent them back and bought the 8.5x42 el and i would never change from them now as they are much lighter, but it also depends on what you want them for i use mine for deer stalking and the el's are light enough to hold in one hand whilst holding your rifle in the other especialy useful when woodland stalking. Chard
I own own and like having quality gear to use but only one product i have ever owned and used still impresses EVERY time I use it and that is my 10X42EL's I agree, I've got EL 10 x 42's - excellent bit of kit. I'm selling them, if you're interested, Harv :yp:

harv
thanks fellas, so are we saying the el's are far better than the slc's optically or is it a combination of that and been lighter that they are more expensive? i like the look of the kahles they are lighter and only 140mm length. CHARD, a question you have no doubt asked a few times "HOW MUCH LUV"? rgds harv
