Andy shooter
Is a bore snake the best way to clean a .22 and a .17 rifle,or are rods better?
Dirty Harry
I find it very hard cleaning the hmr with a rod because the bore is so small and the patch you use has to be tiny. Using the boresnake is really quick and easy and does a good job. nano
drut
Is a bore snake the best way to clean a .22 and a .17 rifle,or are rods better? Use boresnake on .22 & 12g. Very quick & cleans well. Rods/brushes etc. probably more thorough if badly fouled but boresnake more than good enough for me.
chubbus
Andy. A cheap and easy bore snake can be made out of a piece of Strimmer Cord. Just cut a piece of the lenght you need, hold a match under the end to make a blob, the other end cut to a point so you can thread on your patches. easy.
