Ferret Master
Hi, I am occasionally told on an incoming target or dropper that I shoot up the right hand side of it when I should be pointing straight at it, even though I feel that I am. Anyway I have just looked down the barrels of my unloaded gun from the muzzle end and it has become apparent that the rib bends off to the left, which when viewed from the stock end means the rib bends off to the right. The bead is also (from the stock end) slightly to the right of the rib rather than central and this can be seen when normally mounting the gun. So... is this likely to be the cause of this problem as I am told by many people that the gun fits me like a glove? The gun is a Beretta Silver Pigeon 20 bore O/U with 28'' barrels. All thoughts appreciated. (other than from BIB ) Here are a few pics I have just taken on my mobile. I will try and take some better ones later: FM
Cranfield
I would suggest you take it to a Gunsmith and let him have a look at it. The shadows in your photographs make it hard to be precise, but there does seem to be some deviation. Has the gun ever had a repair ? My experience of the Beretta Silver Pigeon range is that they are very well made guns. I can't imagine it came out of the factory with such a fault (if indeed it has a fault). Ferret Master
I've had it from new for 2 years and it has never suffered a strong knock or ever had to go in for repair. FM
