GBS
Having recently got my fingers burnt buying at auction I am keen to buy my own measuring equipment. Therefore I am after a Chubbs Bore Gauge and a barrel wall thickness gauge. I have searched the internet but not found either. I am keen to buy the right thing first time. Can anyone recommend a decent manufacturer? Are there any RFDs/enthusiasts out there who can advise on the best equipment to buy? Also, what sort of money am I looking at? Many thanks, gb Edited August 27, 2008 by georgieB
seeker
Try Brownells-com .. they have several bore guages /micrometer sets in their catalogue. As to thickness without the special items I saw it done with a bore guage and calipers + a little maths! jon

Pleasantly suprised by the prices too - $100 for a barrel wall thickness gauge! Yes, the micrometer/caliper was always an option but knowing my maths.............. gb
