Tyke
Hi m8 I and a number of mates at the club have AA s400,s the next model on and no one would consider spending money on a regulator. AA valving is very consistant and the small varition in power has been worked out at less than 6mm at 55 yards. Hope this helps :yp:
pigeon buster
thanks for the advice but my S310 is very inconsistant in power and accuracy and i have been told that fitting a regulator will cure this BUT will a S410 regulator fit my S310?? Tyke
Hi m8 :yp: When did you have the rifle serviced last, the inconsistency may be caused by wear and tear though I am not 100% sure. Before you go for a regulator I would advise you to ask the same question on the http://www.airgunbbs.com/ forum, there will be someone on this forum that will defiantly be able to give you a concise answer. :yp: I hope that may have helped in some way. 1 of 5
A S310 should not be inconsistent in power or accuracy. If the accuracy problems are all in the vertical plane then it's probably the power variation but if the accuracy problem is also in the horizontal plane then you have two problems. ckbraider
Hi pb just done a bit of investigation for you, the regs that you are interested in are not diy jobs they are custom jobs so i imagine that it would be possible to have one fitted, however im not sure if you already know this but the cost is £195 it would be cheaper to send the rifle back to air-arms for a complete over-all for £195 you could probably pick up a mint condition sh rifle with scopes. contact Hugh Taylor direct on bengarzy2@hotmail.com hope this helps
pigeon buster
looks like i have 2 problems then, because it shoots all over place! :< when the problem first started i sent it straight to AirArms and they said the problem was the silencer, and the gun was slightly over powered (not to my knowlage) BUT when i got it back some ****** has had my ten shot magazine :< and the gun was shooting exactly the same with a new silencer so i got on the phone to complain about the missing silencer but AirArms said it was nothing their end and it must have been a courier(but thats wrong becuase i know the bloke who took it very well) AND when i chroned it the thing was shooting at about 9ftlbs!! so i may aswell just give up on the gun altogether because its dud :<

pigeon buster
yeah may aswell give a gunsmith a go, because it is such a nice gun with walnut stock, bi-pod, great scope but the bl**dy thing won't shoot. so if the gunsmith can't do it i'm selling it
bobthenailer22
hi, i had the exact same problem after i had air arms fac upgrade it. it was a complete waste of time trying to get air arms to look at it again i was at the end of my rope with it. all the gunsmiths i tried either wouldent touch it or tried and failed to sort it out for me. until i was told to see a guy who was right on my doorstep. he makes custom air rifles from scratch (black fox). i gave it to him to sort out and two days later he returned it in perfect working order very consistant very accurate and much more shots per fill. he made new regulator vales and hammer for it . cost ? £100 with a 12 month part and labour warenty could not be happier with it. send me a pm if you want his details. regards bob :o
