  1. The power is adjustable with the valve stem mod and I keep it to below the legal 12flp limit
  2. Moded Stealth 0.177/0.22 (Advertised on other forums) SOLD I have reluctantly decided to sell my modified Gunpower Stealth. The kit is in very good used condition overall with the exception of the 0.177 silencer which has a small area of paint missing but it just needs a spot of matt black paint on it. Anglo American

Hi all I am sorry that this is a bit late but that’s my fault. Next weekend on the 6 and 7 Redfearns F.T.C. we will be holding the Anglo American 2 day event. The “Anglo†is a 2-day event initially aimed at Field Target Air Rifle shooters but over the last 5 years it has included Hunter Field Target shooters as well. There are 2 air rifle course, Anglo 50 targets from 8 to 55 yards and the American 25 targets at the same ranges shot twice each., day one you shoot one course then the next day you shoot the other. The difference is the size of the kill zones. If you’re a true hunter you will know how hard it is to get the right hold UNDER at 8 yards so think how hard is to hit a 10mm kill zone at that range. As an air gun pigeon shooter myself I want to invite everyone out there along to the Anglo American The Anglo is a true fun event there are some people who want gold but the rest 95% just want a day in the wood gabbing plus there is a total prise fund of over £2500 Our host farmer has given us a huge camping plot and I have ordered fantastic weather so if you want to come along let me know ASAP P.S. the prize fund stands at over £2500 which means everyone who puts in a card for entry is virtually odds on to win a prize. (not garenteed)
  4. I've had both and I have just bought another TX for target shooting so that should say which I prefer thought they are both excellent rifles.

    First Springer

Youve got a great deal there, I would also upgrade your scope though.

    silencers

I would stick with the AA one the differance is minimal.
  7. Just a thought mate but have a look at the Airgunbbs site for more specialised information on the Lightening.
  8. Hi all I am back to the woodies after a good time away.
  9. The Pigeon Shooter by John Batley This book is a complete guide to pigeon shooting. The book is in good used condition £10 posted. stephen@toppuk.co.uk

    GAMO CFX

Hi Mate When I get a new gun I normally get a Pellpax set to try out all the available pellets but I always come back to Air Arms Diablo’s.

    GAMO CFX

Hi I can recommend the CFX as I had one until fairly recently. The ABS version is light weight and accurate and the trigger is a lot better than most budget priced springers I have used.
  12. Hi If you have a bit of time try a trial pack from Pellpax. Depending of the calibre you get over 30 different pellets to try to find the best for your gun. Having tried a Pellpax set though only confirmed what I all ready knew Air Arms or the Daystate give the best consistency in both my AA S400 and Hornet 0.177 rifles. Hope that helps. http://www.pellpax.co.uk/
  13. Hi It’s only my opinion but the Air Arms S400 or the BSA Hornet are the ones to look at. The AA s400 is as accurate as any priced a lot higher but it isn’t regulated, the Hornet is regulated (DURR). The Hornet is consistent due to the regulator but not as light as the AA S400 and not quite as accurate (slight small difference) but it come on aim quicker (for me). Both are really good value for the money. Can I also put you of multishot rifles, after the first shot the Woodies are lofted and rushing for a second shot isn’t really an issue and its not worth paying a lot extra for the multishot capability. PS I’ve owned and used both.
  14. Hi Another good thing is they are not pellet fussy. My son uses those half alloy pellets in his and it still shoots perfect, wish my Hornet was the same.
  15. Hi m8 :yp: When did you have the rifle serviced last, the inconsistency may be caused by wear and tear though I am not 100% sure. Before you go for a regulator I would advise you to ask the same question on the http://www.airgunbbs.com/ forum, there will be someone on this forum that will defiantly be able to give you a concise answer. :yp: I hope that may have helped in some way.
  16. Hi 1 in 5 is absolutly right dont do it. One thing I would say also as a word of warning is get your new rifle cronoed as soon as possible. There have been a number of cases I know of where brand new rifles have been well over the limit, one club member had a new S200 putting out 16 foot pound from new and it didnt settle down to anything lower. :yp:
  17. Hi Excellent scope on offer on Ebay if anyone is interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  18. Hi m8 I and a number of mates at the club have AA s400,s the next model on and no one would consider spending money on a regulator. AA valving is very consistant and the small varition in power has been worked out at less than 6mm at 55 yards. Hope this helps :yp:
  19. Hi http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  20. They are cheaper from the USA but if the item cost over $40 it is due for import tax/duty and vat, both at around 17%.
  21. Anyone interested http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  22. :( Hi thanks for the advice guys. I would like to be able recce the shoot but I don’t have the chance and I have to rely on the last information available. My plan up to press has to watch for a while and then choose a likely area and wait. It’s the how long to wait bit. Nice site Fishandshoot hope it does well.
  23. Hi I set up my hide today and waited and waited but no woodies. So how long do you stay and hope that they will show up before collecting your deeks and trying another spot. :(
