cynergydtl
Decided to leave the sport of clay shooting and do a bit more pigeon shooting. What would say is the most suitable shotgun for pigeon shooting?. I have access to 100 acres and normally shoot alone, so would a semi auto be a good choice? :-)
codling99
personal choice mate,i love and own a semi auto, but some prefer o/u ,basically whatever you shoot best with.
lewis
Semi's are good guns- and the 3 shots come in handy at times, but it gets annoying picking up the spent cartridges. I like o/u's personally also a 12 bore

I like o/u's personally also a 12 bore  Single barrel black powder hammer .410 - I like a challenge.... Only kidding. I have gone back to my trusty Beretta Silver Pigeon after using a Breda semi. I just seem to hit more. Jonny.
Browning GTS
I love side by sides check bottom of page I found with a semi the problem is finding all the emptys, like if you do any walking along hedges after the bunnys almost impossible to find them ( spent carts not the bunnys) no good if you do not like to leave a mess behind
MC
I would use your gun that you shoot clays with, if you can shoot well enough to be contemplating shooting live quarry with it then it will be fine.
radio1ham
i know il get slated for this but here goes anyway why not use the gun you have been using for clays if you own that gun no doubt you hit the clay pigeons with it so why not use if for shooting pigeons my o/u is a clay trap gun and gets used for everything from pigeon, rabbit, fox, crows and geese now never actually shot clays before
