Trussman
Ok, I've been toying with the idea of buying a respectable pair of binoculars. They will be used for general work, decoying, rabbit shooting, spying on the neighbours, maybe some Deer Stalking and probably wildfowling in the future. I don't have a fortune to spend and I was thinking along the lines of these. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...p;cm_ite=netcon They will be in 8x30 spec. Good choice or not? Cheers TM

That`s a fair bit of money mate, I think they will be suitable for all except the deer stalking, I would go for the standard 6x42/8x56 for last light clarity, but then again I haven`t looked through those particular bins. Personally for the woodpigeon, rabbit, deer and `fowling I use an El Cheapo pair and they do all that I need of them, however last light they are a guide and then I have to make the final decision with the scope, not the best or recommended use of a scope but I can`t justify the price of top class glass. Trussman
On one hand I would like some decent bins that I could feel some pride in owning, on the other hand you're right, it is a lot of dough and can I justify the cost? Probably not, but then life's too short.
