Having got permission to shoot on some land, got myself an air rifle and the determination to use in the kitchen whatever I shoot I am ready to go. However I need to know the best way to dress a pigeon (and a rabbit but this isn't the right place to ask this I guess!). Having taken the life of the creature I am determined to put every last bit of it to whatever practical use I can, so I don't want to destroy it in the process of dressing it! Please excuse me if this has already been covered and if you do not want to clutter the board up then if you e-mail me that would be great! Thank-you for your time. Have a look at some of the PINNED posts on the forum with regards to the preparation of your kills. You will find all manner of delights on the recipe pages as well. zebedee71 Posted February 3, 2005 Report Share Posted February 3, 2005 Trouble with dressing pigeons and rabbits is finding the clothes small enough to fit em Sorry couldn't resist B) I find the best thing to do with rabbits is to bleed em as much as possible in the field after shooting. Then marinade the meat in wine over night and use the wine to make a stock for a casserole. The other good bit is you can add carrots without the little ****** eating em LOL.
