norfolkshooter
Hi I have a beretta 686E sporting shotgun, the chokes that came with it are still in it and I havent changed them :yp: , currently only shooting sporting traps and no skeet. Chokes and setup as purchased MOBILCHOKE Bottom barrel (CL cylinder)***** Top barrel SP (skeet) My question, are the chokes I am using ok for sporting trap and could any other chokes or setup be of benefit to a noob. Many thanks
Peter De La Mare
You'll hit most things with those, up to around 30 - 35 yards, which is most things at non competition shoots. You won't get the satisfying puff of smoke (or dust) when you get a bird exactly centre pattern unless it's really close. I use half and half for everything. These on your gun will probably have 3 notches.
Gordon R
3 notches in top barrel and 4 in the bottom.
urikastu
You say you haven't changed them but I hope you have taken them out and cleaned and very lightly re oiled the threads otherwise you could be in for a trip to the local gunsmith
