jay222
saw a benelli m1 in a shop near me and was wondering what is the difference between an m1 and an m2? also does anyone have one and are they any good?
Breastman
Hello Jay, As far as i know the only big difference is the M2 has a few recoil reducing features (such as the Comfortec stock) to bring the felt recoil in line with a comparitive gas-operated gun (the Benellis use interia to drive the bolt so you get slightly more recoil). So the M1 will feel like its kicks more than an M2. I not sure you can retro-fit the Comfortec stock to the M1 to get around this. Benelli semis are excellent guns and will chew through virtually any ammo (unlike some gas operated guns). The other main advantage they have is they take far less cleaning than a gas gun and thats always good news! Mark
