  1. As above, I have 250 Eley Hi Flyer 30 gram 6 shot fibre carts which I will never use. Collection only from Stoke on Trent. Sight of SGC required. £35 ******* SOLD ********
  2. Extended. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t2iwsqno95iqoth/DSCF4518.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/3mrhvx4qo0uls2h/DSCF4519.JPG
  3. I have 2 spare Teague inv + chokes UK cylinder & UK 1/4, these are surplus to requirements as I have a full set. These currently sell on Brierly Guns website (I have purchased all my Teagues from there over the years) for £52.01 each including VAT https://www.brierleyguns.com/shooting/Teague-Browning-Invector-Plus-Teague_Br_InvPlus.html I am looking for £50.00 for the pair including postage. Thanks. Andy.
  4. Im still here, still in Stoke on Trent and still shooting, just not as much.
  5. When I was after a 4 x 4 it ended up as a toss up between an X5 or ML270, I went for the ML270 and have no regrets, there are good ones and bad ones about just the same as any brand, its a matter of knowing what to look for on Mercs. Incidentally when i was after a 4 x 4 I looked at loads of different ones, the ML ticked all the right boxes for me and despite what some say is quite good off road, not up to a land rovers standard obviously but for dirt tracks, wet fields/long grass, mud and water mine performs fine.
  6. As a choke fiddler myself in the past (sounds rude) I tried all combinations, 1/4 & 1/2, 1/4 & 1/4, skeet & 1/4 but was still missing a lot of stuff, Pair away and myself decided to pattern our chokes at Doveridge and we were amazed at my 1/4 choke, we even spoke to the gunsmith on site who actually said 1/2 is a better all round choice *, from that day on I have used 1/2 & 3/4 and Pair Away will vouch for this my scores have vastly improved and I am more confident now as well. All I am trying to say is everyone has there own preferences, what works for one will not necessary work for another, a pattern plate is with out doubt the best indication of what your chosen cartridge is doing at what ever range with what ever choke fitted, the results often surprise. *If shooting skeet or close up targets it obviously makes sense to put a more open choke in.
  7. There are quite a few different types of inverters, as you said you have 240 volt in and 3 phase out. Do you have a multi meter to test the output voltage ? I am familiar with some inverter drives which vary the hertz of the output as demanded by a 4 - 20 Ma pressure transducer, yours sounds like a single phase in, three phase out for situations where a three phase supply is not available, you need to confirm the actual output voltage of the inverter, if the voltage is there and the motor does not run it will be a problem with the motor or the contactor or overloads, you need some one who can safely use a multi meter and has knowledge of motors. As always, if you are unsure of electricity do not mess with it, pay someone to come and test it for you.
  8. Deactivated or not, who in there right mind would want to posess such a frightening object, I would hate to look down the barrel of one, I agree with Gordon, destroy it or report him, there is no justification to own a sawn off.
  9. Heres mine and yes it does go off road, much to the annoyance of her indoors.
  10. Yes lessons will help for shooting clays, I had 4 lessons but am lucky to have Pair Away as a shooting buddy, he has helped me considerably.
  11. I have to look after my wifes car as she hasnt got a clue, besides I bought it and its in my name so my responsibility. Is your wifes car in her name, does she normally take care of the tax and mot or do you do it on her behalf? Regarding the poll you paying the fine and asking for thoses special treats in the bedroom I would want more shooting time instead, when ever I wanted with no moaning.
  12. Before you go any further and waste your money a couple of points. In order to select a unit or system suitable for a cold room you need the following: Internal dimensions of room. Thickness of insulation and type (polystyrene, celluar, foam injected) Insulated floor or floorless. Temperature to run at. If 0oC you will then need a system capable of electric or hot gas defrost. From the information above you can then calculate the duty required to maintain a given temperature expressed in watts or btu's, then equipment can be selected to do the job required. You would be better off looking for a monoblock packaged system that way it is all self contained, if you go seperates you will need a condensing unit matched to an evaporator, control panel as well as ancillaries. This is a monoblock packaged unit I mentioned to give you some idea http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COLDROOM-COMPRESSOR-...A1%7C240%3A1318 but this is a freezer item so wrong temperature range.
  13. I forgot to mention, as we purchased advance tickets and we were shooting it, we had a car park pass for car park "G" adjacent to the clay line with an entrance to the show there as well, no queing at all.
  14. I went today, not too bad for clothing, I wish I would of taken my gun as the clay shoot looked ok, regarding the £7 entrance fee I asked if BASC members got a discount and the girl said yes and didnt want to see my card so me and the wife got in for £5 each.
  15. I went with Pair Away, thought it was ok, we were there for 9.00 am and the traffic was already building up, we had a good browse around before it got too busy then we shot the 50 bird sporting which we enjoyed, not as much there as I would of liked, I was very impressed with the Kreighoff K80 super sport (could well be my next purchase but dont tell the wife) I was under the impression there was going to be shotguns which you could try out on the clay line but never saw any, on the advert it actually said "Try shotguns on the clay line". I thought it has the making of a good show but does need more trade stands, not such a lot for clay shooters, plent of cammo gear though.
  16. Anyone know how reliable the new discovery is? I have noticed they have dropped in price now.
  17. My missus hates going out in my car as it is constantly caked in mud and she gets dirty off the sills when climbing in but dont under estimate the capabilities of the ML270, it seriously is a good motor and mine has been off roaded, I have the bills for the damage to prove but it does lack locking diffs, it has low range and permanent 4 wheel drive and 24 mpg for a diesel bus isnt bad I suppose, I still keep looking at Range Rovers but cant decide if they would be reliable or money pits.
  18. A mate of mine bought a Defender recently, starter motor went a couple of weeks ago then last week he pulled out the drive and the cab filled with smoke, apparently the wiring harnass decided to self ignite, he had to fit a new harnass. Regarding Jeep Cherokees, they are notorious for rear diff problems but there is an after market conversion which will cure that problem for good in the way of a service exchange diff for I think about £900. I shall keep my Merc 4x4, it does everything that I need a 4x4 for and they are cheap to buy now as well, I am just waiting for the tyres to wear down so I cab put some better all terrains on.
  19. I dealt with a new company last week who I had never dealt with before, they promised me the earth and let me down badly, the order value was £1,500 so not as if it was a small amount, all they said was "at least you got there in the end" yes because I sorted it out myself at my own cost. Each day I come across much incompetance whilst dealing with various companies, false promises, people not returning phone calls, deliveries not made on time, no one cares and that seems to be the general attitude.

  23. Thanks myzeneye, that is exactly what I will do, I can get my stuff from Wolseley centre as I have an account. PS My system has a Drayton mid position valve in it, I replaced it a couple of years ago when it was sticking.
  24. Thanks magman, I previously tried to find a schematic layout of my heating system with out success, what type of system is mine known as out of interest?
