bout100
Basicly im getting my SGC in a couple of week and can collect the gun being held at my local RFD. in terms of buying cartirdges for mainly clay shooting, where sould i get them in what quantity and what loads / shot sizes would you recomend? I am using a Beretta AL391 semi auto. and am going to be shooting mainly clays / possibly some rough shooting. Many thanks, Bouts
Imperfection
I shoot a semi too and use Gamebore white gold XLR's 28g 7.5's for clays.I buy box of 250 at a time as its cheaper this way and because i'll do either 100 or 200 clays at a time. For pigeon shooting,Gamebore Velocity 32g 6's cos they're cheap!
Ferret Master
You will see slightly more of a discount if you buy 1000 at a time in most places. Clays... 21-28g of 7.5, 8, 9. Pigeon 28-32g of 6's, 5's Some will disagree but that will do the job up there. FM
bout100
KL thanks are the best places 2 get them RFD's, at th grounds, or mail order from somwhere such as justcartridges.com the best thing 2 do? Ferret Master
Personally I buy them from RFD's as by the time you have added postage onto JC's prices then they aren't so cheap unless you happen to live close enough for free delivery. blackbird
I use a Beretta AL391 for sporting clays & pigeon/crow bashing & find ELEY OLIMPIC TRAP 28 GRAM really good for both, I pay £132 for 1000

Thanks Bouts Best thing to do is give them a ring and find out in advance.Chances are-they allow standard plastic wad cartridges unless the land is also used for grazing cattle then it would be slightly more expensive fibre.
