Tis1979
Hey guys, Took some pics of my night scope, Its a gen 1 so needed all the extra artificial light posible it came with a built in IR Illuminator & i added one to the top + just fitted the 6 volt Deban Tracer, really chuffed with the results it's not the lightest bit of kit weighing in @ 1100g but you forget about that when your tucked up waiting for rats in the grain shed. lol, Happy safe shooting guys All the best Tis
steve_b_wales
That's a beast of a NV. But it will be good when you are hitting those rats. I have just bought a Cobra Merlin Gen1 monocular with bracket to attach to a scope. Although it's stated that you should use a AO scope, I have tried it on my Kahles & S&B and its brilliant. I am working out how to fit a lamp with IR filter on it to add extra 'light' Edited November 1, 2008 by steve_b_wales
Tis1979
Yeah there isnt too much room on those to add too, what about a Deben Tracer 6 or 12 volt on swivel bracket fitted to barel of your rifle? i nearly went that way but managed to get it on the scope with great light direction so i'm chuffed to bits. steve_b_wales
At present, when I use the NV just as a monocular, I have an IR 'plate' that I purchased and fitted it to the front of a 1 million cp lamp. The light it throws is awesome. I am considering spending £35 on a flip up IR filter and use it with my 2 million cp blazer clulite. Just got to find a good way of attaching it to the gun. I will probably use the scope adaptor with the clulite and fit it to the barrel. Got a few more ideas in the pipeline, just waiting to get some time off work to try them out. steve_b_wales
I managed to put the clulite lamp onto the scope using the bracket that I purchased about a year back. I didn't think there was enough room on the scope to fix the bracket, so I was pleased. I have just ordered the infrared filter from cluson. When it's all set up I will post a picture of it.
