Curly87
A tad bored at work, no change there then so a random question for u lot............... is it possible to have more than one MOD per rifle on your ticket? my thinking is when i get around to buying a another .22 im going to go for a short stubby one so want a short stubby MOD to go with it for when i am shooting out of vehicles, which ive seen but are a tad more nosiy...... however on my last .22 i had a lightweight SAKO mod which was really light and quite but about 6-8inches long, so in all honestly wouldn’t mind having both...... i know its not a big deal and i could easily get around it but firstly can you put down two mods for one gun on your ticket? or can you buy a FAC rated mod for an air rifle?? when i part exchanged my last mod as the make was down as UNKNOWN, the gun shop offered me the mod back saying i could only use it for my "air rilfe"? cheers, "bored at work" Tim

Dunkield
I would imgaine it is possible if you think you can justify it, good luck trying! The SAK will do perfectly for the .22 btw.
Curly87
Yeah its going well thanks bob just having a slow day at work so thinking what I can spend my hard earned cash on when I get back! Well I am thinking when I do finally get back ill go for a .22 and a .243, not so fussed on the .17 as the .243 will be used as a foxing rifle Stuart the SAK will be well up there as an option, I just remember seeing a mod on one of my friends .22 that was only about 3 and a bit inches long and not very big
Dunkield
SAK's are about 5" long from memory, so not exactly musket territory Now Parker Hales on the other hand...
MC
If you need a new moderator do you have to do a variation? Do you have to get rid of one when you buy the new one?
tulkyuk
If you need a new moderator do you have to do a variation? Do you have to get rid of one when you buy the new one? If the one you already have is on your ticket, then yes you have to apply for a 1 for 1 variation and can't buy a new one till it comes back. Curly87
depends........... on my ticket the moderator was down as UNKOWN so i just did a straight swap with rfd for another which he said was fine, but otherwise you do have to get a variation ill be putting unknown down again for when I re apply for my fac, mainly as I wont know which one I will want to buy at that stage
Dunkield
Doesn't matter if the make is stated or it is 'uknown' you can't buy a new one if the slot is already filled, you have to exchange the old one. I was in a local gun shop when a bloke came in to buy a new mod, his moderator slot was already used, so when the owner asked where the old one was he said 'I binned it' It's daft, but in the eyes of the law a rifle mod is no different to a rifle.
