peter009988
look at this for the form to apply and time depends on your fire arms officer and i think it cost's round £50 http://www.surrey.police.uk/flic_item.asp?artid=4139
Taff Mason
yep £50 wether it gets granted or not. takes anywhere from a week to 6 months, depends how busy your FEO is and how efficiant the team are. you'll also need a cabinet of some sort to store the guns in. there are usually some decent bargains on the net. cost from £50 second hand upto a few thousend depending how big and shinny you want it. mine is a basic 3 gun cabinet and cost me £105 brand new delivered. Taff Mason
i heard if you dont get your certificate granted you get your cash back nah its non refundable because your not really paying for the license, your paying for the admin of issueing it. C22
I've just read a good recent thread on here, so I am a little wiser, the main reason I require the shot gun licence is for humane dispatch in my pest control business, also most of my mrs parents hold licences and do pheasant shooting, it would be handy to get the odd invite here too, I wonder how that will figure for my approval , I havn't got any convictions for theft or drugs or wear a base ball cap and hoodie Cheers for the replies Edited November 17, 2008 by C22
Cushat
What are you after firearms or shotgun cert? Thread title says FAC, post says SGC - make sure you understand what you're after when you apply
