andythechicken
Have got permission for .22lr and FAC airgun and am about to apply for my FAC I already have a SGC and a 5 gun Brattonsound gun. It however does not have a lockable top for ammo. Does anyone one know the correct requirements for storage of a FAC ammo. 1. Can ammo be kept in the same cabinet as the rifles? 2. If so does it have to be in a separate lockable compartment? 3. The cost of lockable ammo cabinets seems to be expensive. If I can keep my ammo in a lockable top box in the cabinet I think I would probably be best changing the cabinet for one with a lockable top. Any thoughts? garyb
1 - yes 2 - yes 3 - A normal security safe which is stored away from the guns, to contain the ammo is also fine.. You do not need a purpose built "ammo" safe
blackbird
I bought a Yale safe from Argos to store my ammo for my FAC think it was about £35.
6shot
i have been told by my fao to get a yale safe from somewhere like argos or b and q aswell. he also said better to get one with keys and not the code type as these can go wrong Edited November 30, 2008 by 6shot
