deny essex
I have owned quite a few semis over 25 years , berreta's, brownngs etc but pigeon shooting can be harsh on guns and the inevitable knocks bumps and scrapes that can happen knock **** out of any trade in value, although i cant knock the more branded guns for quality and refinements i have passed them all over for a hatsan escort, its rough, ready and cheap, mines had a lot of use and abuse for 2 years and if it does the full 3 years without any major problems i would be happy to throw it away and buy another at the price, pretty looking its not but it downs the birds as well as any of the branded names i have owned which is the purpose i buy a gun for. 3 hatsan's 9 years warranty=one quality semi. the-12bore-kid
Ive got a escort semi in black synthetic and when it rains the action goes a funny stain colour but once rubbed with gun oil it soon goes, mine cycles down to 28g carts no probs and it dont miss a beat if your looking for a cheap knock around its well worth buying. i got mine last jan and paid around £
chrispti
To quote that the escort pump is faster than the semi is quite a statement. I have the Escort in an 8 shot FAC and during a test, verified by BulletBoy, I fired 8 shots in 1.19 seconds. I would like to see that happen with a pump. I owned a Benelli SuperNova pump action (FAC) and I could not get 5 shots off in less that 4 sconds. Benelli supernova, watch out for it at about 0.16 sec into the film, 6 shots in 2 secs http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zMIzdnrmH-k&...feature=related
keston
thanks for all the replies.looks like they are quite evenly matched, i managed to get a price of £370 for a camo escort on monday of this week from a local dealer and when i went down to the shop on wednesday he back tracked and said it might have gone up in price and he was trying to contact edgar brothers who import them for an up to date price,i think the sinking pound against the euro is going to put a lot of new gun prices up very shortly as most are imported . iam going to sort something out this weekend for sure .if i havent heard back about the escort price i have a quote of 450 for a 810 from sportsman which ill take up ,although i did like the thought of 26"barrels on the escort ,only 28" on the 810 as far as i know. EvoCars
they still use turkish lira so dont let them use the high euro line to try and get you to pay more, mine 2 years ago, new was 270 in real walnut (not syenthetic walnut)
