GBS
Whilst not a gun case I am sure that it is the same process and any hints and tips would apply equally. I am looking at fitting out a wooden case to hold my wall thickness gauge and wanted to line it with baize. Does anyone have any do's and dont's or advice on how to go about this? What sort of glue should I use etc.. All advice greatly appreciated. gb
Yellow Bear
Make rough frame to size of case interior and to just less than depth of the deeper side. Wrap object or objects in polythene and lay out inside frame on flat surface. Carefully lay baize or cloth over objects and drape over edges of frame and make neat ar corners etc. Use wall/gap filling foam to fill back to just above level of frame. Once foam has set cut flat just above frame, lift clear, trim baize to fold under, it should then fit to case with object size and shape indents. Tthe same process can be used for the top by making a further frame the depth of the full case. Insert the lower section fair side up. A layer of thin polythene is then layed over tis and then the baize. Then foam as before. Hope this is of use. D
