dazlindazza
I'm relatively new to shooting, only being doing it for about 6 months and only have my cheap Baikal SbS that I baught for £100 Anyhow, I was almost set on getting a nice little 20b Over and Under, but have been put off by a few of my mates because they say that the cartridges are that much more expensive than those for a 12. I know that I could give my local shop a call to compare prices, but just thought I'd ask on here about it as i'm sure there's plenty of you guys that have both a 12 and a 20 and I would be interested in knowing how you have found the difference in price. Chard
They certainly are more expensive, I think it's a supply and demand thing, economies of scale etc. How much would depend on what you want them for, but I've just looked at Just Cartridges prices on the interweb and 12g Lyalvale clay cartridges range from £116-£174 for a thousand, whereas the equivalent 20g cartridges range from £171-£196 a thousand
Vince Green
Chard is right its a supply and demand thing. Also, they are harder to get hold of and the choice will be limited when you can get them. Unless you have a burning desire to get a 20 think seriously about it.
