Hi All,

I have done a little pigeon shooting (probably five times in the last year) but only walking around fields and taking shots that came along. I decided to take it a bit more seriously and purchased 12 shell decoys. My first two hour outing gave me 13 shots and 6 pigeon. However the pigeons that I took were all settled in the trees behind me. Several diverted and took a look or a low fly over my decoys but then came in to roost behind me. Things went quiet for about 20 minutes and then a big black shape passed over me and a buzzard hit one of my shell decoys so hard it broke the plastic peg. Is this a normal decoying hazard or is it something that happens on very few occasions?

Nice to be part of your forum

I've had the same ! with buzzards and sparrow hawkes , it shows you were well hidden !! and your deeks are Good enough to fool a bird of prey

In 7 odd years its happened a few times to me !!

Jump up and tell it to F@#* OFF !!! it normally works

Dont what Ever you do put a shot in the air this Will look bad to any passers by that Might think you are shooting at it
