dibbz2000
Hi, I have recently aquired an AA S200 and am using an FX pump, I cant find the instruction book anywhere (dog eaten?) and i cant remember what pressure is its maximum. Any1 know to what PSI it will take? Also ive heard that it can be tweaked up a few ft/lbs, any help on how thats done appreciated! Cheers Dibbz Edited February 13, 2005 by dibbz2000
Jon-Boy
Fill too 190 bar, not the maximum but where shot power starts to be consistant. To increase power - im not sure if im allowed to say on here so i wont. But there are websites that tell you how to do it. Keep it at 12lbs though, you will only benifit if the gun is well over 12ftlbs but then you are going to need a FAC. FAC ing a air rifle is a waste of time, once you FAC it you can never "downgrade" it again to a normal rifle meaning you have to sell it "hard to do" or have it destroyed. My advice if you want a more powerful gun, get a rimmy Sorry if i ran on a bit! s200 is a cracking gun, just got one myself, nice bit of kit for the cash
1 of 5
Some forces will allow the downgrading by a gunsmith of an FAC rifle to a sub 12 ft/lb - though most will not. West Yorks will. The S200 only goes to around 18 ft/lb and frankly that'll make almost no difference to anybodys bag. If you can't kill it with 12ft/lb then anything less than a rimmy isn't going to help anyone except plod to convict you for a firearms offence. An airgun is all about pellet placement rather than power even at FAC power levels. Pumping over 190 bar will lower the power as the valve won't open fully due to air pressure. Fisherman Mike
Get in touch with AA I am sure they will only be too happy to provide you with a new one.. take my advice and dont fanny about with the gun it has been developed to work properly and safely at the optimum fill pressure of 190bar or 2750 lb/sq in. As 1 in 5 says an extra 6 ft lb is not going to make that much difference. FM.
