Cranfield
The last time I went to Mid Kent (some years ago) it was laid out in a very small pit and the clays from the other stands fell on your head. In fairness, it did change hands later and I heard some money was being spent there to try to attract Corporate days etc., but I never went back. If you go, please post here to let us know what its like. Paddock Wood is probably the best Clay Ground in Kent IMO.

keith_henson
Thats a shame - any grounds you can recommend for a cracking session this weekend? Keith
Cranfield
Greenfields at Canterbury are open weekends, Martin Gorse Wood, Dover are open some weekends (check their website for dates), Willow Farm, Tenterden is also open weekends. Cranfield
Not sure that willow farm is open for clays on a monday. From memory it is the only day it is closed. Still looking tired I have to say. You are correct, it is closed on Mondays, I forgot. I have shot there on a Monday, but it was opened specially as we were a large party. He is trying to spruce things up, filling holes in the road, changing the layout etc., but West Kent is definitely the best clay ground in Kent. Willow Farm just happens to be closest to me. jonnyoftheboy
Willow Farm... yeah funny old place really. will be my closest when we move in the summer.... so hopefully it'll be looking better. it is still down in clay shooting or sporting shooter as open for practice on a monday though.... west kent is a decent ground, but as there are multiple birds per stand... I find the tendency is to shoot what you can do rather than somewhere like dartford where you pay for a round & just do the 2 birds at each stand. I sometimes find west kent a bit like an old boys club too at times.... not the friendlist to those new to the sport, just my opinion.
