nicholiath
Hi all, not had a bad season on our little part time farm shoot. We shot every fortnight with varying results, whatever the bag we had fun especially the kids beating and having a go shooting. We think a lot of our birds ******** off to the professional shoot next door due to our inferior cover crop, so we are pulling out all the stops this tear for better cover crop and improving ground cover in release wood. How was your season? :good:

Fishleigh
I had a good season, on our little wild bird shoot we bagged around 20/30 pheasant 2 partridge 12 woodcock and 28 snipe. I also got invited to a local driven shoot which turned out to be a good laugh roll on next season

Millomite
How has everyone faired this year with holding their birds? We've had our best season for years with a 44% return, shooting 241 from 550. Interestingly 61% were hens, anyone else find they shoot more hens? Total shots for the year was 1153 for 274 total head. 241 Pheasant 15 Duck 7 Woodcock 6 Snipe 1 Woodpigeon 1 Squirrel 3 Collared Doves
