bjlfishing
does anyone know if the safety catch on semi autos can be altered so they opporate the opposite way so it makes it safer for a left hander to use a right handed semi ie berreta etc only reason i ask is im having problems with my laft handed semi and carnt afford a new benneli sbe2 so im looking at getting a secondhand al391 berreta if it possible to get the catch reversed so it works the opposite way Edited February 8, 2009 by bjlfishing
clayman
Why are you bothering with it? The "safety" is only a cam on the trigger, preventing you pulling it accidentally. Everything else in the gun is set to fire. Leave it in fire position, don't close the bolt till you need to, stay barrel aware, and keep you finger off the trigger till it needs to be there. Much safer to have good safety discipline than to rely on the trigger lock.
bjlfishing
all good points but not always possible to close the bolt etc when you sat on the shore snap shooting etc id sooner just relie on the safety
