GBS
I have some but dont really know what to do with it! Yes, Roxtons in Hungerford stock it. Gb
lapwing
Roxtons too! They seem to enjoy being able to supply it as most other customers have never heard of it. Us oldies wrap it round a jag until it is the right size for the barrel, then scrub up & down. Might need to change the outer layer a couple of times on black powder, then use solvent to make sure it's clean. I guess you smokeless chaps would just need once and no solvent to do the job. I've never tried to clean a rifle with it though. You can sometimes get it from a plumbers suppliers, or failing that get out behind a combine cutting & chopping linseed straw; the chopped linseed after harvest is "tow with bits in" so a happy 10 minutes picking the woody bits out should set you up for the year.
