Wookie
Quick question.... Can I use Optima extended chokes from a 682 Gold E in my 687 Silver Pigeon V? (currently has the standard flush chokes) Just laying plans to borrow a pair of skeet chokes for the weekend and the Beretta website is not really any help at all. Cheers, Wookie
webber
As far as I am aware the Optima choking system is different from the Mobil choking system used in your 687, so the answer is no. webber
Wookie
****. Thanks for that Webber. As it happens, I have just found the "Choke" part of the US website, but still no list of compatible shotguns. Ah well, looks like I'll be using 1/2 and 3/4 for skeet again unless I can find the skeet and 1/4 chokes somewhere. And remember to bring them with me. webber
Most decent gun shops will probably have a box with assorted Beretta Mobil chokes in. You just have to ask. webber
Wookie
Weird as hell... The spare chokes I have say that they are Optima on the side. Do they make flush fitting Optima chokes? I think I need to use one of my lifelines and call a gunshop that knows Beretta really well. BlaserF3
It tells you here http://www.gmk.co.uk/index.php?p=productde...er%20Pigeon%20V what type is fitted to the 687 V. If it's the sporter it's fitted with Optima.
Wookie
Just been over it with a fine toothcomb (ok, my eyes) and the barrells are stamped @Sporting@. Ok, so it's Optima. Sweet. Thanks everyone!
the great roberto
687 SP 5's use optima rather than mobil chokes. So, yes you can use the extended optima chokes.
