Beardo
Question - just how much difference does Parallax adjustment make? If a lens has no correction, the Parallax is usually set at 100 yards, how much difference does it make at 25 yards or 150 yards? My Hawke scope on the .17HMR seems to have a nice sweetspot on the AO where everything is in pretty sharp focus from 30 yards up to 150 yards, now i'd rather not be fiddling about with focus when i'm trying to shoot something - should i worry about Parallax affecting POI on this? garyb
As I said the other night... the scope on my .22lr has a fancy AO thingy... It's stuck on a setting (no idea what) I never move it and can shoot bunnys from anywhere between 25 - 120 yards The next scope I buy will be fixed mag / Objective. Beardo
definitely going to go with a fixed power high quality scope for the .223 just was interested to know if it really does make any difference
Dunkield
Do away with ***** and dials and get a good fixed power scope. After picking off half a dozen rabbits in almost darkness the other evening without using a lamp I can't recommend Meopta fixed scopes enough. labrador
sturtp what kind of meopta are you using. is it on a .22 or .
Dunkield
It is a 7x50 on a .22 - one of the best buys I have made I reckon. I am sure a 6x42 S&B would do the same job pulling in light, but they obviously cost more and cross hairs are pretty fat.
