andy33
Hey good news, decided to me backside in gear and go out and ask a few farmers, got knocked back several times until eventually got forty acres of corn fields, went down to take a look and felt a bit dissapointed to find three baron fields, walked all three and only saw three crows  .So what next the forty acres border on some woods and in the woods is an organised pheasant shoot which i was warned to stay out of by the farmer, they'll get a bit upset if you go in there but shoot as much rabbit and pigeon as you want, its a shame there was nothing there or did i go at the wrong time ??. All i need now is a gun !!, whilst talking to said farmers a retired chap offered me a used Linclon, you could see it had hardly been used and wanted about 800 quid anybody heard of a 3 inch magnum ?? so come on guys whats the hand of experiance say ?? Stamford
Treat it like a seedling, look after it and watch it grow So you got permission before the gun ? I'd hurry up and grab one and get back out there mate... 40 acres is a decent size, there must be something moving around

Billy.
so come on guys whats the hand of experiance say ?? The hand of experience will probably say to read up on shooting before you actually do anything. The bible of shooting: http://www.bascbookshop.com/basc/product.a...d=9781904057208 Read that before you lay your hands on a shotgun. I read it ten times over when I was 12, before I got my first shotgun.
Baldrick
There was a Buzzard around would that make a differance. Yes, a significant difference. We have a breeding pair on the farm at home. If you were a pigeon or a rabbit, would you loiter out in the open and risk being clobbered by the buzzard?!
