pigeons on chicken poo

went out this morning, decided to leave the pigeon to have a try at the crows that had been feeding on recently spread chicken poo. I got to the field just after daybreak, (a little later than i wanted to but...) and i set up a neat little hide in some bushes. After a while 4 crows came about 70 yards of my decoys for a closer look. 2 came in but they were streching it abit. I let the other 2 come in shortly after and one went straight into the middle of my pattern, i dropped him first shot but couldnt get a bead on the second. For about 45 mins i didnt see a thing and decided to pack up and maybe think about revising for my sience modules next week. I packed up, hopped on the quad, and started to head over a brow, as i came over about 500 + pigeon lifted and i was gobsmacked to see them feeding on chicken manure  . '**** it' i said sience can wait im not missing this and promptly set back up, needless to say i shoud of had 20+, but as someone said on here earlier this week, i shot, like a blind vicar. Just glad to be out and getting my eye back in after a weeks break in lanzarote. (thats my exscuse anyway) :good:
