Warlock Posted March 3, 2009 Report Share Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) Yes they can be made, materials aren`t too expensive to buy if you can buy the right steel rod, spring steel works best but the trouble is the best floaters are telescopic which makes transporting easier, to be honest phone UK Shootwarehouse and buy some off them, they currently have a special offer buy 2 get 1 free. £30 for 3 telescopic floaters is good, plus they come with all the clips etc to hold dead birds and decoys too. Yes it works, but having bought another from Shootwarehouse I wouldn't use my home made one again.
