air cylinders

Hi all

Ihave just aquired a dive bottle full of air but it is the type that as tha clamp type fitting on the neck, my normal 3ltr bottle as a screw in type neck , is there an adaptor that I can get that will clamp on to the big dive bottle then screw in my normal filling kitt,?

or do I have to buy the clamp type filler.

You need an A type to DIN converter, they should be readily available at dive shops:

 

It's probably worth changing the O ring on the cylinder at the same time, they only cost pence

Have a look at the centre of the bottle threar, if it has an allen key fixment you can unscrew the centre and then its a DIN fitting, if its the A clamp fitting you require then you will need the converter they are £20 new so dont pay more than that. hope this helps. Just a bit confused as it sounds like your kit you have now is for DIN in which case you just need to unscrew the centre piece and its ready.
