steve_b_wales
I use a Cobra Merlin NV with scope adapter. I fixed a Blaserlite to the scope and fitted a IR filter to the lite. In total darkness with the IR on, I can see for approx 200 yards. The cross hairs on the scope (Kahles) stand out clearly, and there would be no problem identifying a fox at that range. I have not tried it out on a fox yet, but will do soon. I'll post the results after I try it.

If I go into any barn with sub 12 foot pounds I can see all and judge easily, if I was to miss the pellet wont rip a hole in the barn or equipment. I WILL NOT EVER take a shot if livestock is in the background. I will be soon trying for an air rifle FAC, but still have a lot of experience to gain even with many many hours ratting and rabbiting under my belt. All you hunters that go out and shoot 100m plus with wind and hit your target, my hat goes off to you. Carbon

Carbonrocket
Have a £10 filter with rubber boot that can fit straight on a lamp/torch. I have made a vid that shows the fitting. I have a cheep torch/lamp but last night it worked quite well untill the fog came in and totaly destroyed my NV ability. The fog came in so bad, with just a very good head lamp I could not see more than 10 m but until then the IR filter worked well. But my torch is not very good but fine for air rifles. Any way here it is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_K-xgkqKEA...re=channel_page Carbon

Carbonrocket
nice work Carbon, what torch are you using? Cheap one called a 'SWAT FORCE'. Its OK'ish but I would rather a Ledray GL unit.
