a2oth
Going to be reseeding some horse grazing in May. Last year the pidgins and rabbits took most of the seed. Horses close by. Footpaths close by (Joe public calling plod). Country lane with some traffic, close by. Plenty of cover on these bits so quite close shots (nothing on the wing). I’m therefore thinking about a 410 moderated. What Cart would you Guys recommend for this setup?
Bleeh
Subsonic - Eley are the only people who make them. Edited March 9, 2009 by Bleeh

a2oth
Thanks for that evilstoat. Bleeh, do they only do the subsonics in 18, 6?
evilstoat
I tried some eley 2" carts in my moderated .410 and it doesn't sound any louder than a pcp with volumetric silencer on, it's actually quite quiet without subs as they are quite quiet i picked up some 3" gamebore carts today to try, to see if there is much of a difference between the 2" and 3" carts Edited March 9, 2009 by evilstoat
vole
Eley Fourlongs are really quiet in a moderated .410. So quiet that I never got round to using the 3in Subsonics. My rfd says the Fourlong is actually quieter than the Sub.As said above, with the right cartridge you are talking airgun level of noise. The 3in Magnums are pretty loud as you would expect.
darren m
i think fibre wad fourlongs are just as good as 3inch subs and a lot cheaper
chrispti
Anything with shot size 5 or 6. All carts sound the same except the 3" magnums which are only a little bit louder
