scolopax
Found my first Leveret today. Unfortunately it was recently deceased and partially eaten by some predator/ scavenger. Its head was eaten just leaving its ears and the cheast cavity was open and empty, the rest of the tiny carcass was intact. I'm guessing crow or maybe rat? What would eat the head before tackling the meatier bits?

We llways poked the eyes out of any bait left out to bushwack predators. LB
