Tiff-TRG
Suppose I'd better enter into the spirit of things and say a .338-50 firing a 160grain mono-soild bullet, would be pretty flat to start with..... Harnser
The three flatest rounds i could find are as follows . Number 1 22-250 win . 52 grain H.P.B.T. bullet .Minus 5.5 inches at 300 yards . Number 2 . .270 win .140 grain S.T.B.T. bullet . minus 7.2 inches at 300 yards . Number 3. 243 win . 100 grain S.T.B.T. bullet . minus 7.6 inches at 300 yards . For comparison , .375 win . 250 grain P.P. bullet . Minus 40.9 inches at 300 yards . Harnser .
Harnser
I presume they are from 200 yard zero's? Good point Fister . 22-250 = 200 yard zero .270 = 150 yard zero .243 = 150 yard zero .375 = 100 yard zero Harnser .
Tiff-TRG
Ah those drops are huge, compared to the Talbot With a 250grain .338 solid at 4,500fps the figures look like this: 100 = 0" 10,600 ftlbs 400 = -6.9" 8,800 ftlbs 600= -22" 7,778 ftlbs This is a min load, you can get another 1,000fps with the max load Is that flat enough!
