  1. Gun still for sale - it's collection only.
  2. I would like to buy this, if you will send via an RFD your end? Obviously I will cover postage etc.
  3. I'm involved with coaching people with their own rifles & mine, both outside and within the setting of a formal range. The main issues are insurance, legalities and qualifications & these vary slightly depending on if people are on a range or not. On private land, at the very least everyone shooting must be insured (+if you're receiving payment buisness insurance is required). For section 1 firearms everyone needs to be over 17 (14+ if their own), although over 18 can make things easier all round. Plus it would make sense to have some formal qualifications i.e. RCO and obviously they must sign a section 21 form etc. On a range within a military context your firearms would have to be approved for use (amourer etc.) (read unlikley...), you would have to be qualified for coaching with them and all that entails. This will the allow activites to run within their insurance. It may be easier to remove any thoughts of using your own rifles on a range/formal cadet activity and instead offer to help out with coaching or even just assisting with range days.
  4. One and only price drop to: £275 posted R.M.S.D.
  5. Leica LRF 1200 Scan Rangemaster (black) in mint condition. Plus Cabelas camo neoprene carry case (with neck strap). Has only been used a handfull of times since new (always in the dry) and always in the case - therefore a solid 9.5/10 on condition. I have ranged to 1,278 yards with it and comfortably ranges beyond 1,000yds in the day. I have tested it alongside a Swaro, Terrapin, plus another Lecia 1200 and has been within a yard past 1,200yds. I am asking £320 posted R.M.S.D. Thanks, Tiff N.b. Also advertised by a mate and myself elsewhere.
  6. Keep the bolt handle light, otherwise it won't cycle well. I like the large hollow/fluted Nordic handle. Should run with most cartridgs. Breaking in with a box or two of 36g carts' is a good start - A heavy trap load on the clays.
  7. I'm not sure if there is a lower limit, but I'd enquire about being considered for a BDS Jim Taylor-Page Young Persons Bursary. I secured it for three friends and I a few years ago - we had our Level 1 courses fully paid. Personally I was shooting foxes/deer at 14 unsupervised with my rifles, but had to wait till I was 15 before I could leagally be left pigeon shooting with my shotgun!
  8. Another vote for Lowa's. The Supercamp 2's with 'sole' custom innersoles make especially good boots.
  9. DO NOT DO THIS - They are added to the national firearms statistics that are used by anti gun pressure groups and the government itself against legal firearm owners! Hand them into a friendly RFD - even if scrap. The RFD can then destroy them once on their records and they do not therefore count towards police firearms statistics.
  10. This happened very often when I worked for an RFD. Not just shotguns, but rifles and pistols! The police will be happy to have them back on the books with the RFD. It would be highly unlikely they would take it any further since it does not reflect well on them...... The police will run a check on the serial numbers (to check they are not stolen etc.) and then let the RFD transfer them onto your ticket.
  11. I brought this a month ago s/h, but due to a career change, have decided not to shoot F-Class this year. It is in excellent to mint condition, with no crimps on the tube or marks on the glass etc. 1/4 MOA turrets. Comes boxed, with paperwork, sunshade, NF covers and butler creeks. I'm asking what I paid, £1,000 posted R.M.S.D. or £985 collected from the Shooting Show on Saturday. Cheers, Tiff N.B. Also advertised by myself and a friend elsewhere.
  12. I'm on the Tamar near Callington if it helps at all. Drop me a pm if you haven't been helped out already.
  13. Does anyone on here shoot BP cannon? I quite like the idea of target shooting with a cannon.... I cannot justify spending money on a 'real cannon' but a reproduction minature would be ok. The only ones I've seen so far are by Ardesa (from Kranks) - what are they like? Also are are any others available in the UK? Cheers Tiff
  14. The Benelli M2 is simply the best, most reliable semi going at the moment. I really like my 10 shot M2 Comfortech, with 24" V-Rib barrel and Nordic 6 shot extension tube, clamp, speed follower and handle and is a world apart from my old Mossberg. Apart from the 'open' race guns, the M2 it is the fastest/best semi on the market for PSG. Plus is great in the field on pigeons and crows. If you're looking for one at a very competitive price, English Country Pursuits in Devon are worth contacting. They have several deals, including Benelli M2's from £1040, going at the moment and stock Nordic Components. Tiff
  15. Hi I have a CZ Varmint with 16" barrel, new proofed SAK and BSA SWF 6-24x44 and rings. The wood is by far the best I've ever seen on a CZ and I'm asking 385 posted to any RFD.
  16. I would recommend removing this post, since both you and the RFD broke the law. Any firearm has to go RFD to RFD via a licensed courier (i.e. TNT or Parcel Force)
  17. I will take this please -pending pm.
  18. The FCSA is a great club to join, with lots of different toys to play with at every shoot. We shoot mostly at Warcop, Lydd and Sennybridge for the .50's, although there are many others like Warminster that we use for the .338's and smaller stuff.
  19. Was it FNM rounds by any chance? They are loaded very light due to the number of old mausers in circulation.
  20. I would personally recommend a falco sxs .410 shot pistol for smaller animals. Its compact, you have good reason and even better they are on offer at the moment for £360 ish.
