The three flatest rounds i could find are as follows .

 

Number 1 22-250 win . 52 grain H.P.B.T. bullet .Minus 5.5 inches at 300 yards .

 

Number 2 . .270 win .140 grain S.T.B.T. bullet . minus 7.2 inches at 300 yards .

 

Number 3. 243 win . 100 grain S.T.B.T. bullet . minus 7.6 inches at 300 yards .

 

For comparison , .375 win . 250 grain P.P. bullet . Minus 40.9 inches at 300 yards .

Ah those drops are huge, compared to the Talbot :oops:

 

With a 250grain .338 solid at 4,500fps the figures look like this:

 

100 = 0" 10,600 ftlbs

 

400 = -6.9" 8,800 ftlbs

 

600= -22" 7,778 ftlbs

 

 

This is a min load, you can get another 1,000fps with the max load :good:

 

Is that flat enough!
