Baldrick
You need to know the trajectory, which depends on a wide range of variables, including bullet weight and BC, muzzle velocity, temperature, incline etc. There's isn't a simple one-fix answer. LXX73
one click at 100 equals 1/4 of an inch, 200 1/2 an inch, 300 3/4 and so on. You could reference ballistic tables for bullet drop at different ranges and dial in. The best way to do it is set out targets at different ranges using the same ammo and note down what adjustments are made for the different ranges. You could then write out a range card with adjustments for the different ranges. This will be the most accurate as it is real world for your rifle and ammo. plinker
its quite simple to make your own ballistics chart/table use one of the free online programs they are all pretty self explanatary ,then fine tune them in the field print one out and stick it to your rangefinder.if you want to spend some money look at exbal and a pda hey presto you are a sniper
