SNAKEBITE
In the other thread .22 V .177 there was a mention of a rule of thumb about 1lb/ft for every "grain" of pellet weight. What is the "grain" of Crossman .22 Accupel? Am I using to heavy a pellet in my HW57 (which is running at the standard rate)?
dunganick
i dont actually know the weight, but accupel is about the best pellet you can get for target and pest controll, im about 99% certain it will abide by this rule that you have been given, as they are very very good pellets

Axe
Snakey, if the grain weight of the Accupel is indeed 14.3 then you would need 14.3 Ft/Lb if using the 'old rule of thumb'. So with your HW57 running just under the legal limit of 12 Ft/Lb that would leave the .22 Accupel not meeting the requirements of the 'old rule of thumb'! That said, if you can compensate for the 'heavier' trajectory you should be ok with them. Cheers n Beers Axe
