Richardinhoxne
I've recently bought a Bettinsoli Diamond o/u and would like to modify the manual safety fitted as standard to an Auto Safety. I saw an article in Sporting Gun that suggested that they can be modified to work automatically and would like to find out where I could get the parts. I converted a Lanber manual to auto very easily some time ago so I hope this can be done as easily. Any ideas or information appreciated. tweedledee
i think the diamondline is a sporter dedicated for clay shooting in which instance safety is`nt really needed as you only close the gun when taking a shot.i shot a diamondline for a few years both at the ckays and in the field. lack of auto safe never bothered me. take it to your local gunsmith he`ll know what to do
Richardinhoxne
Thanks for your reply, dosent really bother me just a thought that if its as easy to convert as the Lanber, I'd do it.
clayman
Take the stock off and have a look. If its designed to be either, there will be a place for a rod from the top lever can to press back and set the safety when the top lever is operated. This is stiff L shaped wire, and can be made-up if you cant get it as a spare.
