I was able to get away with it because my Sako 85 has a sporting barrel, if you try the same with a heavy barrel you may find it front heavy. Goldfish Posted April 12, 2009 Report Share Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) i was considering a 20inch barrel with a wildcat pakenno I had a Wildcat, big, heavy, cumbersome and average; soon sold it and got a Jet Z Compact. I will never go back and now have one for each centrefire. Small and compact with very good sound reduction plus it does not effect the rifle's balance (my .243 is a Sako 85 with standard 22.5" barrel).
