sussex lad
How many of you guys use a roof net!!! I know they limit your shooting and you have to wait until they have well and truly committed to your pattern, to get a shot though window you've left. I think that they give a little more freedom to fidget in your hide , sitting still is something i cant do!! I have a pop up hide i'm going to try this afternoon , should be interesting. Any way how do you do it!!!
rb5037
I use this camo for a roof if i'm going to use one. Normaly i will add a camo roof if i'm crow bashing. Does the trick for me
Cranfield
I have never successfully used a "roof" on a pigeon shooting hide. On the few times I have tried, it has proved to limit both areas of vision and gun swing. As most shooters sit/stand in hides wearing full cammo, or drab clothing, I'm not sure what benefit a roof is supposed to provide. I always ensure I have "background" to my hide (so I am not silhouetted) and wear a full face net mask and lightweight cammo gloves (most important). You know if pigeons can see you when approaching, or flying over decoys, by their actions. I have rarely found this to be a problem. However, I do know a chap who puts up a tilting fishing umbrella, over the back half of his hide. He has spray painted it cammo style in matt paint. I think its more to keep the rain off him, than to hide him from the pigeons.
