McF
Ive been asked by a land owner who also as a stretch of a river on his land, if i would shoot the mink that he says are hammering the fish in it. Now ive shot since i was a nipper but ive never been asked to do this before. So does anyone else shoot them and also any tips on how to go about it, i.e. best time to do it, do you have to bait them, what to use, shotgun, .22LR or airgun. Any tips please. Tobyb525
If you do try and shoot them, your best to get a dog out to flush it out of the cover.
henry d
^^ not what he said, trap the blighters, 24/7/365 and you can release any non target species.
Glenshooter
Yep, trap the nasty little blighters. They have territories of up to a mile or so long and the chances of seeing one is quite remote. Never seen one even though they're around. Thank the animal liberation loonies for this disastrous effect of an alien species on our wildlife.
RhiannonBW
I think the skins go for about £20 prepared. Not sure whether it's legal to sell them over here though? Rhiannon
