Ferret Master
Hi, Before I start I would like to say something. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT AND IF YOU ARE BORED DON'T CLEAN THE GUNS DO SOMETHING MORE PRODUCTIVE. OK, I stripped my A303 down for a yearly full clean and upon putting it back together I have caused a jam. According to the online instruction manuel that I was following the only thing I did wrong was not cock the hammer before putting the cocking leaver back in the gun complete with the breach bolt assembley attached to the operating rod. I can cock it with the help of a penknife and my small fingers which enables the safety catch to work however the breach bolt assembley is now stuck in the gun although I can remove the operating rod. So, yeah, all help and guidance much appreciated and remember if it is still working don't try and fix it. Cheers, FM
Andy H
According to the breakdown i cannot find the cocking lever , Only the cocking handle and you cannot insert the breech bolt into the receiver with the cocking handle fitted , the last thing you put back after stripdown is the trigger group which includes the hammer assembly . so can you take the trigger group out and try again. Ferret Master
Fixed it. I was able to fix the jam by removing the trigger unit again. And also discovered that I had put the breech bolt slide in upside down (I blame blurry black and wide scanned in instructions from the internet ) but it is also working. Also thanks to swift4me for his offer of help through PM. FM

The Burpster
Ahhhh Berettas..... I clean the barrel and choke (if fitted), piston and slide, and breech face after every outing. Every 250 -300 or after a mucking pigeon trip I drop out the slide and trigger group and clean out the inside of the receiver. Is it necccasary? probably not, but then Its not NECCASARY to clean your teeth twice every day is it....?
