Toombsy
It's been many years since I last went to the clay ground mentioned in the title.... Anyone know if it's still open, or even exists anymore? The last time I went it had a high tower, a skeet layout, and quite a few sporting targets - but that was 10 years ago. Any info would be great, thanks
VicW
I've not come across it. Are you looking for recommended grounds in Lincs?
Toombsy
Not really mate... I will be staying near there in a month or so, so wondered if it was worth taking my guns.
richg
AS FAR AS I KNOW IT'S STILL OPEN, I WENT THERE LAST SUMMER. BEN PASSED AWAY SOME TIME AGO. I THINK THE GROUND IS NOW RUN BY HIS NEPHEW. THE GROUND HAS'NT CHANGED MUCH IN 30 YEARS. BY THE WAY, IS YOUR NAME JOHN OR DAVE, (USED TO SHOOT AT AVGC)
Toombsy
Hello mate - and thanks for the info. John's my dad, Dave's my uncle. I'm John's eldest son. Dad don't go to AV much nowadays - he's given up serious trap shooting, and goes to his local club at Saltfleet where they have DTL and ABT. Dave goes occasionally to AV I think, to give the old Kreighoff a dustoff. I take it you know them both then?
